Enerfab is a 125-year-old industrial contractor — fabrication, construction, maintenance — operating across the United States at serious scale. The kind of company that’s been quietly building the infrastructure that keeps industries running since 1901. The problem? Their website didn’t come close to reflecting that.
Working alongside Atlanta agency Applied Imagination, the brief was to tear it down and start again. A full redesign and rebuild on a custom WordPress CMS — lean, fast, no plugin bloat — with a site structure big enough to cover Fabrication, Construction and Maintenance capabilities, plus industries, leadership, careers and news.
The goals were simple to say and hard to do: make it modern, make it easy to use on any device, tell a compelling brand story built around quality, safety and craftsmanship, and leave Enerfab’s own team with something they could actually manage themselves without calling us every five minutes.
Honestly? We think it came out great. The finished Enerfab site is bold, confident and authoritative — exactly what a company with 125 years of industrial heritage deserves.
That started with the UI and UX. Working from the brief, I mapped out the user journeys across a large and complex sitemap — making sure visitors could navigate Fabrication, Construction and Maintenance capabilities without getting lost in the weeds. The UX thinking was all about reducing friction: clear signposting, logical page hierarchy and calls to action that actually guide people somewhere useful. The UI followed the same logic — big, confident typography, strong use of industrial imagery, and a visual language that feels premium without ever losing the grounded, no-nonsense character of the Enerfab brand.
The designs were built in Figma, pixel-perfect and ready for handoff, before being brought to life on a clean custom WordPress theme — fast, lean and built so Enerfab’s internal team can update content, add pages and keep things moving without needing outside help for day-to-day stuff.
From the immersive homepage hero right through to the detailed Why Enerfab quality and safety breakdowns, every page was designed with purpose. The site now feels as substantial as the work Enerfab actually does. Built for the challenge. We’re proud of this one.
